Starcraft >
Part 1 > The Terrans.
If you read the terran section of the manual you will find out that the terrans are not actually living on earth but they are all genetic outcasts. This has no relevence to the game so its stupid me talking about it but its quite interesting.
The terrans have very few surprises up there sleeves and its generally what your used to when observing humans fighting today. Nukes, machine guns, tanks they havent really changed much. After much playing and the completion of all the scenarios I have come tho the conclusion that the best way to fight with them is to have a lot of ground troops and just swarm the enemy base. The terran vehicles are not good enough for the amount of money they cost and there puny firepower.
Part 2 > The Zerg.
The zerg are all living creatures including there buildings, there overall objective is to assimilate the protoss. The cannot do this without battling the humans ( its really strange).
The zerg are very different to the comparativly normal fighting style of the terrans. After a few levels you get rather attached to the and you become loathe to kill them in the last level. The strategy I have devised for them is similar to my strategy for the terrans. The hydralisks are much better than all other zerg units, in firepower and in costeffectiveness. They are also remarkably easy to carry inside overlords. The Queens are my favorite creature because they have so much cool stuff they can use. One of the best is spawn broodlings, it turns any terran or protoss man into 2 small bu hard little zerglings. This makes a good distraction just before an attack.
Part 3 > The Protoss.
The protoss are very strange and mysterios creatures, even after playing all there levels to completion I still don't understand some of the workings of their alien brains.
The main disadvantage of the protoss is that they have only 3 types of
ground unit. Despite this they are still very good, there base defences
and carriers are unmatched by any other civilization. The carriers I love
because they have lots of little fighters which swarm the enemy. Before
you use carriers always upgrade them to 8 fighters in the fleet beacon,
this doubles their effectivness.
Ceasar III >
Ceaser III is a very complex game, pleasing everyone is impossible so you must aim to please the maximum population you can. The success depends less on your actual building skills and more on the location of your city, a city anywhere on the map can survive but you must pick a good site to start.
Town Planning >
1) Your initial site shoulb be next to water with farmland nearby. (prefeably a river)
2) Clear a large area of land and connect with the road to rome.
3) Set up the essentials. (Housing, water supply, grannery, market, prefecture and engineers posts.)
4) Build some temples and butify the area.
5) Replace your wells with fountains which are near a water supply. (If needed)
6) Expand your farms.
7) It is wise to build hospitals, just in case.
8) Build some more houses and a senate.
9) You may need more farms for your people. (You need engineering posts by your farms)
10) Place some theatres and an actor colony.
11) Build some bath houses near to resevoirs.
12) Now to get some real money. Open 1 trade route.
13) Build some industry, pottery and oil are best. You will need a warehouse to keep your goods in.
14) Increase your population, you may need a dock to export overseas.
15) You need to build schools but you must have enough for libruaries as well.
16) You may need to start little comunities to produce specific goods.
N.B. > your city will work well
if you maintain it and listen to your people, if you exploit your people
they will not be happy and they will move out.
